Former Teacher Fights Zombies, Actually

 

The television version of Image’s The Walking Dead has finally found its leading man… and fans of British romantic movies will have reasons to be happy with the choice.

AMC have cast Andrew Lincoln, probably best known to American audiences for his role as the man in unrequired love with Kiera Knightly in Love, Actually, as Rick Grimes, the central character in Frank Darabont’s adaptation of the long-running Robert Kirkman zombie comic. We’d worry about his chances of survival, but then we remember that he’s already starred in the British series Teachers, so he knows all about dealing with brainless hungry monsters.
