FX Renews Justified For Second Season

 

FX will return to Harlan County with a second season of Justified, the critically acclaimed modern Western set in the foothills of Kentucky.

The 13-episode order means we’ll be seeing much more of Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens, the Elmore Leonard character played to simmering perfection by Timothy Olyphant (Deadwood). The series is just midway through its first season. The show centers on Givens, a no-nonsense, Stetson-wearing lawman who’s reassigned to his native Kentucky after killing a gun thug in a Miami hotel.

Justified‘s March 16 debut was the most watched series premiere in the cable network’s history, with 4.9 million total viewers. Ratings declined sharply before finally stabilizing with an average of 3.4 million total viewers. The season finale airs on June 8.
