Fox Renews Both Human Target And Lie To Me

Human Target

In a surprise move, Fox announced today that it’s renewing Lie to Me for a third season and picking up Human Target for a second, The Live Feed reports.

Just yesterday conventional wisdom held that the network would have to choose between the two, as it appeared it only had room on its fall schedule for one of the under-performing dramas. What a difference a day makes.

According to The Live Feed, Matt Miller (Chuck) will take over as showrunner of Human Target, with Jonathan Steinberg continuing as executive producer.

Fox also gave a greenlight to Ridealong, the new police drama from Shawn Ryan (The Shield, Lie to Me), the oil-industry soap Midland (possibly now called Lone Star), and single-camera comedies Traffic Light and Keep Hope Alive.

nice to see fox letting human target get a chance to try and build an audience given their history with shows like it.

Great news! Very enjoyable show that I think deserves a second season to keep developing.

Great news. Human Target was one of the better shows last season. Everyone I know who gave it a chance loved it and was hooked

Both are being renewed for 13 episodes. They are still in hot water.
  • KTB
Better to have 13 episodes than 0.

glad fox gave human target a chance. though mostly because they may need warner brothers support for something in the future. besides human target if given a chance could be a hit for fox.
