Lionsgate Says New "Power Rangers" Film Could Lead To Multiple Sequels
Over the weekend, Geoff Johns teased fans with the existence of test footage for a proposed live-action Blue Beetle television series, promising that he’d try to share the material with fans at Comic-Con next month. Well, let’s just say that Christmas has come early, as Johns revealed several of these Blue Beetle images last night on DC’s The Source.
“This isn’t final,” Johns reiterated. “This isn’t greenlit. It’s only a test that was done. We still have a long way to go to see if we can get this off the ground and a lot of people to jump on board.”
He added that Comic-Con attendees will be able to see the images in motion at many of the planned DC Comics panels.
Johns spoke about a variety of other developing DC Entertainment projects, including Mark Sinestro’s work in the currently shooting Green Lantern film.
“If you like Sinestro you’re going to love Mark Strong as Sinestro,” he said. “Powerful, regal, intimidating. Mark clearly has done his research and embraced every aspect of what makes Sinestro one of the greatest, most complex characters within the vast, epic universe of the Green Lantern Corps. I think you’ll be as psyched as I am when you finally see him.”
