Sony Announces Green Hornet Release Date

Ok, forget about the fact that Seth Rogen is playing Green Hornet for a minute, forget that the movie has been pushed back time and time again, and forget all the rumors that the studio is dissatisfied with the film.

Now, if you were a studio exec, unsure about this movie, and suspecting it might bomb, would you then spend tons of extra cash to convert it to 3D? The director says no. Michael Gondry says that if the studio didn't believe in the film, they wouldn't bother with 3D. It's a convincing argument. I mean they could have just gone straight to DVD with the thing.

The proof will be in the pudding come early next year, but I'd like to know what you all think….New Year Flop? New Year Hot? Or will it be a lukewarm, middle of the road, Daredevil-type of movie?
