Doomsday Comes To American <i>Human</i>  

Smallville fans, prepare to meet your Doom(sday) once more… Well, kind of. Sam Witwer, who played the human side of Doomsday in the eighth season of Smallville has signed on to star in Syfy’s remake of the British series Being Human.

Witwer will play Aiden, the vampire from the vamp/werewolf/ghost roommate trinity that the series centers around, according to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello, who also reports that Meaghan Rath has already signed on to play ghost Molly, with Sam Huntington in the running to play werewolf Josh. Shooting on the Syfy version is expected to begin soon.

    scy fy could have saved them so much work by just working out a deal to run the original version for a remake of it is really not needed. though i am curious to see the guy who brought doomsday to life on screen play a vampire

    Im expecting this remake to not capture or completely ignore the comical elements of the show.
    I can understand SyFy wanting to remake it though, the show is somewhat British centred.
