Axel-In-Charge: Extending "Secret Wars," Excitement for a "Totally Awesome Hulk"
John Schneider will reprise his role as Jonathan Kent in the 10th, and final, season of Smallville, IGN reports. Just how he’ll do it is a bit of a mystery, considering that Clark’s adoptive father died during Season Five, in one of the show’s most moving episodes.
We’ve seen Pa Kent since his death, of course, as an apparition and as a hallucination. So this could be more of the same. However, he’ll be seen in the season premiere, titled “Lazarus,” which may provide a clue to the nature of his return. According to IGN, Schneider will appear in at least one other episode.
Smallville‘s final season promises “the classic reuniting of the timeless romance between Clark and Lois, and brings Clark face-to-face with his destiny as he overcomes his final trials and forges the iconic identity that will be known for all time.” It’s expected to feature guest appearances by many familiar faces from previous seasons.
The series returns at 8 p.m. EST/PST Sept. 24 on The CW.
