Sorcerer’s Apprentice Plans More Fantasia-Mining In Sequel

 

The first movie isn’t even out yet, but already Jay Baruchel, star of the new live-action version of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, is talking about what to expect from the sequel.

Ain’t It Cool’s Quint reports that Baruchel, during a Q&A to promote the new movie, said that Sorcerer’s 2 will incorporate another character from Disney’s Fantasia: Chernabog, the mountain demon who may or may not actually be Satan himself. Also due to make an appearance in the next one? The mystical sword Excalibur, following up on the Merlin/Morganne Le Fey backstory of this first movie. Apparently, it’s all part of a plan for a trilogy – so here’s hoping that the first movie is a hit when it’s released, for Disney’s sake if nothing else.
