INTERVIEW: DiDio & Lee on "Dark Knight 3," Vertigo's Future & DC's Evolving Readership
Directed by Robert Schwentke (Flightplan, The Time Traveler’s Wife), Red is based on the 2003 WildStorm miniseries by Warren Ellis Cully Hamner. In case you missed it in the previous posts, here’s the film’s official synopsis:
Red is the story of Frank Moses (Bruce Willis), a former black-ops CIA agent, who is now living a quiet life. That is until the day a hi-tech assassin shows up intent on killing him. With his identity compromised and the life of the woman he cares for, Sarah (Mary-Louise Parker), endangered, Frank reassembles his old team (Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and Helen Mirren) in a last ditch effort to survive. Also in the cast are Karl Urban, Brian Cox, Richard Dreyfuss, Ernest Borgnine, Julian McMahon, James Remar and Rebecca Pidgeon.
Summit will bring the film’s director and stars to Comic-Con International on July 22. Red opens on Oct. 15.
