Another Red Poster: Morgan Freeman Aims To Please

 

You may have detected a trend involving the posters released this week for Summit Entertainment’s Red: first came Bruce Willis, then Helen Mirren, then John Malkovich, and now … Morgan Freeman. I like the “Morgan Freeman Aims to Please” tagline well enough, but I think I prefer Warren Ellis’ take: “That Nice Old Man Will Cap You.”

Directed by Robert Schwentke (Flightplan, The Time Traveler’s Wife), Red is based on the 2003 WildStorm miniseries by Ellis and Cully Hamner. The film opens on Oct. 15.
