In the wind-up to Comic-Con International, AMC’s The Walking Dead blog has been very busy. In addition to yesterday’s motion-comic teaser, the cable network has unveiled the Comic-Con booth banner — it features art by Charlie Adlard and Cliff Rathburn — and, now, a gallery of the principal characters.

We’ve seen the images of the survivors before — they were merged to create that first look at the central cast — but it’s kind of neat to see the actors, with the names of their characters, as … sort of blood-splattered trading cards. (Collect ‘em all!) Plus, there are two new shots of the zombies from Frank Darabont’s adaptation.

The AMC series, which debuts in October, stars: Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes; Jon Bernthal as Shane; Sarah Wayne Callies as Lori Grimes; Jeffrey DeMunn as Dale; Laurie Holden as Andrea; Steve Yeun as Glenn; Emma Bell as Amy; and Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes.

The Walking Dead will be showcased Friday during a Comic-Con panel, which will feature an exclusive preview of the series.
