Ashley Wood’s Lore Looks To Become The Next Men In Black

Circle of Confusion and Andrew Lazar’s Warner Bros.-based Mad Chance have acquired the film rights to Lore, the 2003 IDW Publishing miniseries by Ashley Wood and T.P. Louise.

Cory Goodman (Priest) and Jeremy Lott are writing the screenplay for what Heat Vision reports producers hope will launch “an action-adventure franchise in the vein of Men in Black, this one focused on mythological creatures.”

Lore focuses on a reluctant hero who is drawn into a secret society dedicated to protecting the world from the monsters of legend.

Lazar will produce the adaptation with Circle of Confusion’s Rick Jacobs, with Goodman co-producing. Wood and IDW Publishing CEO Ted Adams are executive producing.

Lore is Wood’s second comic being developed for film: At last year’s Comic-Con International, Jerry Bruckheimer bought the rights to his humans versus robots war diary World War Robot.
