Smallville Casts Hawkgirl And Deadshot

 

We already knew from watching the Comic-Con International trailer that Hawkman would play a part in the final season of Smallville. Some of us even guessed that the ancient Egyptian motif might relate to Hawkgirl; it turns out we were right.

KryptonSite reports that Sahar Biniaz, a beauty-pageant contestant turned actress, as been cast as Carter Hall’s long-lost love Shayera in an episode called “Shield.” It’s unknown whether she’ll don ridiculous-looking wings similar to those worn in Season 9 by Michael Shanks, who will reprise his role as Hawkman in “Shield.”

The fan site also reports that Bradley Stryker (Stargate Universe, The O.C.) will play Floyd Lawton, aka Deadshot, the assassin who never misses.

Biniaz previously appeared in minor roles in three episodes of Smallville. She also played a newscaster in Watchmen, and Sabine in the short-lived Blade: The Series.

The 10th season of Smallville debuts on Sept. 24 on The CW.
