Hugh Jackman Sharpens Claws For Wolverine 2

Whether you loved X-Men Origins: Wolverine or not — I’m guessing not, for many of you — you’re about to get another dose of the adamantium-laced mutant as Hugh Jackman prepares for a Wolverine sequel.

Deadline Hollywood reports that Jackman has dropped out of 20th Century Fox’s Avon Man, director Kevin Lima’s comedy about a group of unemployed auto workers who are forced to sell beauty products to get by. Although he’ll still serve as a producer on the comedy, Jackman reportedly left Avon Man for Wolverine 2, another Fox project and undoubtedly a bigger priority for the studio as it continues to work on reviving the X-Men brand with director Matthew Vaughn’s First Class and the fabled Deadpool spinoff starring Ryan Reynolds.

According to the report, the Wolverine sequel could begin shooting as soon as next year, with the film still set to take place in Japan.

Huh. I can't imagine why people didn't like it. Except for dead-looking Charles Xavier it was pretty darn good, and most of my friends also liked it a lot.

  • Sean

I also liked it, the only thing that bothered me was cyclops optic blast should not have heated up, it's concussive force, not heat. Other than that, I enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to the sequel.

  • Zach

It was a great movie. It was much, much better than X3 (Or Wolverine 1, as I call it.) Looking forward to the sequel

Can't believe they gave him that weak 'James' origin. Hell, they could of come up with better stuff than that.

I hope QUesada himself gets retcon.
