Paula Patton Joins The Former Mission: Impossible 4

 

Now that Jeremy Renner has been cast as Tom Cruise’s partner-in-spy for the next Mission: Impossible movie, the whole casting process seems to be speeding up. Now Paula Patton has joined the cast… and more details about the movie are also beginning to leak.

Patton will, according to Deadline Hollywood, play a young operative working alongside Cruise and Renner in the new movie which, it seems, will definitely not be called Mission: Impossible 4; instead, the movie is being approached by executive producers JJ Abrams and Cruise as a reboot for the franchise, although Cruise’s presence does make me wonder if that means it’s definitely not a reboot for continuity…

Shooting on the movie is said to begin this fall.
