Will House‘s Morrison Be CBS’ Mother?

Add another name to the list of potential title characters for CBS’ comedy How I Met Your Mother, as House‘s Jennifer Morrison joins the series for a role that may, or may not, be the love of Ted’s life.

Increasing the likelihood of the long-running comedy finally introducing the character that the series is, ostensibly, about is the fact that creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas have been making noises that it may finally be time to bring the mother into the series – but with Morrison only booked onto the show for a run of somewhere between 5 and 13 episodes, does this give her enough time to win Ted’s heart? And, more abstractly, does the introduction of the mother signal the end of the show itself?

The show has some of high points, but after 100 or so episodes later, I think it's time to wind things down. So hopefully this does mark the end of the show.

I love the show, but I think it's about high time to introduce “Mother” and go out while the gettin's good.
