Human Target Season Premiere Moved To November

The second season of Human Target was scheduled to debut on Fox this coming Friday, but the network has announced that the high octane espionage series won’t return until later in the fall.

According to a press release, the season premiere — titled “Ilsa Pucci,” named after the show’s newest series regular played by Indira Varma — has been moved to Wednesday, November 17 at 8:00 / 9:00 p.m. central. Previously scheduled to air on Friday nights, the new season of Human Target will now return to its original Wednesday time slot.

While the month-and-a-half delay won’t be easy on fans of the franchise, the move from Fridays to Wednesdays is surely a sign of confidence on the network’s part. And if you’re still jonesing for some Human Target goodness, you can always read my interview with Ilsa Pucci herself over at the Comic Book Resources mother ship — and no, I won’t apologize for the shameless plug, dammit!

Fox describes the season premiere as follows:

Picking up from the heart-pounding first season cliffhanger, the new season of HUMAN TARGET kicks off with a bang as CHANCE (Mark Valley) and GUERRERO (Jackie Earle Haley) race to rescue their kidnapped associate, WINSTON (Chi McBride). Vowing to retire from the security business, Chance is lured back to work by billionaire philanthropist ILSA PUCCI (new series regular Indira Varma), who needs his protection after the mysterious murder of her husband. While on assignment, the team encounters AMES (new cast member Janet Montgomery), a beautiful, chameleon-like thief who has a past connection to Winston.

I like the show moving out of the Friday Deathslot, I don't like waiting two more months to see it though, unless they bring in some weekly repeats of last season

Wasn't the Friday time slot right up against Smallville?

  • Paul

yes, HT was in competition with Smallville…now I can watch both. Hurrah!

Friday nights on Fox have spelled the death knell for many a show. Very glad its going back to Wednesdays.

I'm glad they are moving it, but it's not necessarily a sign of confidence in the show. They canceled Lone Star, and moved Lie to Me to Mondays from its normal Wednesday slot, (freeing up that slot for Human Target).

Hopefully, it catches on this year and gains ratings. :)

Good. Friday nights were way too crowded for my DVR already with Smallville, Batman:TB&TB, Clone Wars and Sym-Bionic Titan. Glad to see it back on Wednesday.

Damn it fox, can you make these decisions before i was anticipating sitting down and watching the premere 3 days from now. I'm not opposed to the move, wednesday was the lull day of TV this season but seriously is the motto of your programming directors “why figure things out now when we can wait until later”?

glad to see Fox finaly got smart and took human target off of the death slot and back to a slot that could give it a chance to really prove what a hit it can be. the longer wait is worth the price if it means human target thrives

So now it will come on the same day and time as Undercovers.

  • Clint Williams

Bah! No like waiting so long, but hope the time slot change is beneficial. I prefer Fox's blocking of good shows together. Like Bones & Lie To Me should back each other on Thursdays or Mondays. Fringe and Dollh– oops, uh, The Ev3n– uh, well, crap.

Anyways – disappointed at last minute shenanigans nonetheless… now Wednesdays have a glimmer of hope (cause anything's better than Survivor or Cougar Town).

Luckily, UnderCovers is getting additional showings on Bravo and Sleuth (and probably SyFy), so you CAN watch Human Target without missing it!

I just found out what happened to Human Target, I thought it was gone for good.

I just bought the first season's DVD so I can re-live all the episodes while I IMPATIENTLY wait for Season 2. FOX don't let me down and screw with Human Target again!!

This is May 20,2011. When is Human Target coming back on? Never did get to see all of it. What happened? A very good, clean show PLEASE bring it back. In Sept. or Oct. 2011 would be a  good time to air it again.

Probley, but Smallvile is now over. Another good show off the air. BJMobley
