Terra Nova Finds Mother

 

Quick, call Ted Mosby – No, wait, wrong series. But Fox’s upcoming, troubled Terra Nova has finally cast its female lead, giving the role to relatively unknown British actress Shelley Conn.

Conn will play Elizabeth Shannon, wife to Jason O’Mara’s Jim and mother of the time-traveling family that abandons a dying Earth to start over in prehistoric times in the Steven Spielberg-produced series. Conn, who’s made appearances in Tim Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and cult zombie series Dead Set, will have to rush to Australia in order to get there before shooting starts there in October. The series previews next May on Fox, before its officially-scheduled start in the fall.
