Axel-In-Charge: "Secret Wars" Jam Session Talking "A-Force," "Ultimate End" and More
Nicolas Cage stars in the upcoming Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance from directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, but little else is known about the film’s cast. Now, two new actors have stepped into the ring: Ciaran Hinds and Violante Placido.
Hinds (Rome) stars in Spirit of Vengeance as the devil, though it’s currently unclear whether or not this means he’ll be replacing Peter Fonda as Mephistopheles. Placido (The American), meanwhile, plays the mother of a young boy being targeted by the devil.
The sequel catches up with Johnny Blaze (Cage) several years following the events of the first Ghost Rider film. The supernatural biker has hidden himself in Eastern Europe in an attempt to stifle his curse, but he’s lured back out into the open when the devil (Hinds) attempts to take over a young boy’s body on his birthday.
Production is set to begin in Romania and Turkey in late November. The movie hits theaters on February 17, 2012.
