Then, perhaps I can interest you in The Mortal Instruments.
Screen Gems announced yesterday its plan to bring Cassandra Clare’s four novel urban fantasy series – about a teen in modern day New York who discovers that she is part of an ancient line of vampire slayers… No, wait, I mean Shadowhunters, of course (Sorry, Joss) – to the big screen, starting with the first book, City of Glass. The script has already been written by Jessica Postigo, but both director and cast remain unannounced.
In related news, anyone who wants to get into movies, write a fantasy young adult novel series and just wait. They’ll get to you eventually.
