Transformers 3 Plot Details Revealed

We know that Shia LaBeouf thinks that the upcoming Transformers movie is the best of the series, but what will you think? You don’t have to wait until footage is released to formulate your opinions, as a newly unveiled plot synopsis tells you everything you need to know.

An Amazon listing for the “Transformers 3 Push-Pops Board Book” discovered by TFW2005 describes the plot of the film as follows:

The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.

So, there’s that. Is that enough information to tell you whether or not you’re going to enjoy the third Transformers movie? Perhaps you’d already made up your mind?

And if you aren’t familiar with Shockwave, here’s a video primer. It’s… not safe for work.

Transformers: The Dark of the Moon hits theaters on July 1, 2011.

Wait, there's a plot? This will be awful just like the first two. Thank God I continue to con my friends into paying for my tickets so I don't put any money into Bay's coffers.

  • Jasonmelendez1

Technically, you are. As you as you “con” your friends into paying for your tickets, more money is going to the Transformers movie than if you simply told them you weren't going to go see it. Although, if it's so awful, why would you want to go see it anyway?

  • Stuck_e

No thanks, after that last one, I am gonna pass until someone else helms the series.

A space race between Russia, and the USA? INCONCEIVABLE! Seriously Bay I can suspend my disbelief when it comes to giant robots, but a space race is taking it too far!

“The Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia.” Uh, what decade is this, again?

  • Dtwinslow

Because other people paid for it. None of MY money went to see the movie. I could try and type it slower.

I love Transformers. It's one of my favourite properties.

Or I could get it off Demonoid.

Oh boy!! More Sam Witwicky and virtually identical robots with names I remember transforming into things I don't remember and being king of the planet instead of a defector. Can they be invincible in the first half of the movie and easily defeated in the second half, too? That's what I always liked about Transformers.

I can't wait!!! Can we have more humping dogs or stupid parents too? Who washed Michael Bay's car to be cast as Sam's love interest this time?!! So many interesting directions this will go!

  • Joecooler2u

Can't wait for the reboot of this by someone who cares about the characters, storyline and fans. Though this does sound better than the first two. I always liked Shockwave and Sideswipe but I bet they will look like a hunk of junk metal.

The recent Transformers game War for Cybertron had a better plot then these movies.
