James Robinson's "Squadron Supreme" Takes Lethal, Pre-Emptive Action
Apparently, The Last Airbender was the start of two trends for M. Night Shyamalan: Firstly, it was a movie that he didn’t write, and secondly, it was a movie with children in lead roles… Two things he’s planning to repeat with the mysterious One Thousand AE.
The Hollywood Reporter has the scoop that Shyamalan is developing the movie, written by The Book of Eli‘s Gary Whitta, with Will Smith’s development company. It won’t be Smith senior who takes the lead, however; the movie is being prepped for The Karate Kid himself, Jaden Smith. As ever with Shyamalan projects, plot details are being kept under wraps.
