Axel-In-Charge: Navigating the "Civil War II" Landscape, Bringing DMC to Marvel
It’s been a few years since we’ve seen a movie from Alexander Payne, the writer and director behind Election, About Schmidt and Sideways. But next year sees his return to the big screen with George Clooney vehicle The Descendants, and following that, he just might team up with Ghost World‘s Dan Clowes.
Deadline is reporting that Payne is considering directing Clowes’ most recent graphic novel, the misanthropic Wilson (about a man who tries to reconnect with his estranged family), from a screenplay by Clowes himself. Payne will co-produce the movie with Sam Raimi’s Stars Road production company for Fox Searchlight.
