Ernie Hudson: Blame Bill Murray For Ghostbusters 3 Delays

Another member of the original Ghostbusters squad is taking shots at Peter Venkman. Speaking with Movie Mikes, actor Ernie Hudson echoed Dan Aykroyd’s previously expressed sentiments in saying that delays on Ghostbusters 3 rest on Bill Murray’s shoulders.

“Dan and [Harold Ramis] are working on the script. If it happens we will see but Bill has been the hold up,” said Hudson. “His definition of good is a little bit different than everybody elses. So we will see, I would love to see it happen. I know the fans have been asking for it … so hopefully.”

“Bill’s a great guy, he’s kind of quirky but I love him,” he added of Murray. “He’s a guy who is very much into what he’s feeling. I know he really cares about his work, which is probably why there hasn’t been another Ghostbusters as of yet.”

And the quest for Ghostbusters 3 continues, it seems…

Hudson needs work, you selfish bastard, Murray!!!!

Collaboration is a wonderful thing–it can make a crap script better or a good script worse…

More like ‘Ernie Hudson: Blame Bill Murray for my lack of a career save for one videogame in the past ten years.’

God forbid someone should be a little wary about making a third Ghostbusters film over twenty years since the last one.

Sony’s not going to wait forever. They’ve been wanting a sequal for twenty years. I would’nt be surprised if they said screw em and do a remake of the original film with a brand new cast and story from scratch.

After all this is the same company that decided to reboot Spiderman with a brand new cast, director, and star after only a few years.

No simpathy for Ernie or Dan. I know why those guys are desperate to get this movie going, given their current movie careers. If Bill is holding off on the movie, it’s probably because the script sucks worse than Ghostbusters 2.

Ernie Hudson has been working quite steadily over the years, mostly on television. If anyone of that cast needs a paycheck it’s Dan Aykroyd, Yogi Bear not withstanding.

Honestly, they should let it go. The Ghostbusters’ time has come and gone. If someone wants to remake/reboot it that’s fine but as far as the originals go, it’s over.
