SPIDER-MANDATE: The Lowe-down on "Secret Wars," Tie-Ins and Stacey Lee
Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe won’t have the last laugh when it comes to bringing thieving archer Robin Hood to the big screen. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the Wachowski siblings are reteaming with Warner Bros. for a modern taken on the Robin Hood mythos, a project that they’ll both write and direct.
Few details are known about The Matrix directors’ latest film, other than the fact that it’s “a modern, urban take on the Robin Hood myth.” Furthermore, Will Smith is reportedly one of the actors that the Wachowskis are looking at to star in the movie.
Currently, Andy and Lana (formerly Larry) Wachowski are working on CN-9, an Iraqi war movie told from the perspective of archaeologists putting together events from the U.S. occupation of Iraq.
