Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the trailer for Kevin Smith’s Red State is absolutely amazing. It’s a haunting piece of film that decisively identifies itself not only on its own merits as a thriller, but also in terms of standing out from the rest of Smith’s typically comedy-driven catalogue. Needless to say, Red State is one of the films we’re most looking forward to in the coming year — so much so that we’re paying $850 for a sneak peek.
We’re proud to announce that Spinoff Online just won an auction conducted by Smith himself over Twitter with a successful $850 bid to land an exclusive first look at the next new poster from Red State. A high price tag, you say? Completely worth it, we reply: not only is Red State one of our most anticipated movies of 2011, but our winning bid will be donated to ongoing efforts to provide disaster relief to South East Queensland in Australia, currently undergoing severe flooding. Smith is generously matching our donation as well. If you want to join us in donating to the cause, click here.
Stay tuned to Spinoff Online for your first look at the new Red State poster!
