Bendis On War Machine's Death, She-Hulk's Fate & Raising the "Civil War II" Stakes
Barely over two years ago, a little known director named Marc Webb was announced as the director for Age of Rage, a science fiction film described as Children of Men meets Lord of the Flies. Fast forward to 2011 and Webb is still not the most known name in the filmmaking industry, but his star has certainly risen thanks to (500) Days of Summer and his high profile work on the currently shooting Spider-Man reboot. With those feathers in his cap, it looks like Webb is once again setting his sights on his 2008 proposal.
The Hollywood Reporter scoops that Webb isn’t alone in his return to Age of Rage, as Black Swan scribe and frequent Darren Aronofsky collaborator Mark Heyman has climbed aboard to tackle the screenplay. Little is known about the actual plot for Age of Rage except that it takes place “in a post-apocalyptic society where all the adults have died and a group of teens sets about trying to establish a new society.” With the Black Swan writer on scripting duties and Webb as director (he’s not locked in yet but is considered likely, especially since Age of Rage stems from his own idea), it’s safe to say that this is a project to keep your eye on.
