X-POSITION: Phoenix, Upstarts & More Tear Up Bowers & Sims' "X-Men '92"
If you haven’t been watching No Ordinary Family this season, perhaps this will give you a reason to start: TV Line reports that Lucy Lawless has agreed to join the cast of the ABC superhero series for a five-episode guest arc. Lawless has been tapped to play “a powerful woman and potential adversary for the Powell clan whose agenda could put the family in danger.” Her appearance will carry the show through the end of its first season, and given that the report describes Lawless’ involvement as lasting for “at least five episodes,” perhaps there’s potential for the character to reemerge during a not-yet-greenlit second season.
No Ordinary Family is just one of the many television credits Lawless has to her name. Best known for playing the title role on Xena: Warrior Princess, Lawless also enjoyed a celebrated run as a Cylon on Battlestar Galactica as well as her current gig on Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The actress will head back to New Zealand to start production on season two of the Starz show once her work on No Ordinary Family is finished.
