Will Lindsay Lohan Steal The Show In The Superman Reboot?

If you thought the rumors of Robin appearing in the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises were unlikely, boy, do we have a doozy for you.

TMZ reports today that sources close to Lindsay Lohan — currently being investigated in the theft of a  $2,500 necklace after her latest stint in rehab — say that people associated with the “actress” have had multiple phone conversations with the people behind Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot. According to these sources, Lohan is up for a “major role,” but not that of love interest Lois Lane. Those same sources told TMZ that, Lohan is “dying to show people again how talented she is.” Of course, her latest run-in with authorities could ruin her shot at the film. Or, well, any film.

If not Lois Lane, then who? Daily Planet columnist Cat Grant? The Girl of Steel, Supergirl? Yet another interpretation of the Miss Teschmacher character? If the rumors of Ursa’s involvement are true, Lohan could make an ironic cameo as a resident of the Phantom Zone.

In reality, this rumor is highly, highly unlikely. It’s noteworthy that something similar happened recently, when Lohan’s alleged Linda Lovelace bio-pic also coincided with her legal issues. Weird how she always manages to be up for a role only when she’s in trouble with the law.

To be fair, though, it could very well be true that Lohan’s people have had conversations with the producers of Superman. Technically, they could be having many conversations with those people’s voice mail. Who’s to say that’s not the case?

    Keep Lohan Away from Superman!!!!!

Is being a junkie so common in that industry?

I see people with drug and alchohol problems, they don’t got no big jobs or million dollars. Certainly not millions that they lose, too.

Where are people’s heads in that industry?

” Lohan is ‘dying to show people again how talented she is.’”
Maybe she’ll play a character who dies on screen?

“Dying to show people again how talented she is.” Now are they referring to that terrible Herbie movie or that terrible cd?

If Lohan winds up being in the Superman reboot, then Batman and Robin should be considered for an Oscar :p

Funny nobody talks about RDJ’s continual problems in the past anymore at all.

Anyway, is there anybody out there expecting this to be something especially good? If LL was in it, that would be the least concern I have at this point …

Given her initials, how can she stay away from Superman?

While I dislike Lindsay, I have to admit Cat Grant is a perfect role for her. An annoying, provocative slutty character (in regards to her current comic interpretation), who you wish would go away.

OMG – a pessimistic internet fanboy! What is the world coming to?

Heh. Nice try, but try looking in the mirror because you just told on yourself.

I’m not a fan of Zach Snyder’s movies. They’re not horrible, but they are not especially good IMO (hence the term in comment).

I am far from an pessimistic internet fanboy. Click the name and have a read of my posting history before you make a kneejerk reactionary accusation on the internet. Makes you sound like a pessimistic internet fanboy …

Maybe because they are, so far (and hopefully for good), in the past.

Go to Batman to find quality actors

After recently reviewing Kristin Stewart and now Lindsey Lohan I guess we can assume that it will take a while to get around to considering Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton. What was Nolan thinking by hiring Snyder?

Exactly. Lohan’s career isn’t dead. If she’s as talented as we’ve occasionally seen, if she gets herself cleaned up she’ll have a career. Just like RDJ.

No chance of this happening anyway.
She’s been charged with stealing a necklace worth a lot of money. Saw it on Yahoo earlier. In that respect, Doubt she’ll have time for this movie if she wanted to be in it or the producers and casting wanted to give her a part.

Frankly, I think she has always had potential beyond the other bad girl celebs she’s been hanging out with and lumped into the same category with due to her past actions.
Not making excuses for her, but you look at that party girl/stage mom of hers and her opportunistic father who makes statements on her left and right whether she’s in the news for something or not and it’s not too difficult to see where her chaos is derived from.

She, like everyone else, celeb or not, has great potential.

    It’s a shame.

She can be better if she didn’t give into her chaos and partying. Her addictions and the stuff all that entails. It’s a pity to see all that potential go to waste when she can be so much more as an actress and more importantly as a person. I’m not exactly her biggest fan either, but I do feel she could be more if she wanted to really do so. Just that she’s too clouded in mind and soul right now.

I’m hoping she can still change for the better and not go down like so many others in her position before her. While it wouldn’t be all that surprising if one day I saw a news report of her untimely demise. I pray she can overcome all that chaos before it’s too late.

Lohan as Cat Grant would be genius stunt casting.
