SDCC: "Batman: The Killing Joke" Cast & Crew Debuts Film at Comic-Con International
“X” marks the spot, and that spot apparently is on Facebook. Entertainment Weekly revealed that 20th Century Fox plans will premiere the first trailer for X-Men: First Class tomorrow on the film’s Facebook page. The magazine’s website also unveiled a new image of Magneto from the movie. The fan page already has 1.6 million followers, but that number will most likely increase with the trailer.
In the meantime, check out the movie’s official logo, which debuted today on the Facebook page.
Directed by Matthew Vaughn, X-Men: First Class tells of the early days of mutants and the formation of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters by the telepathic Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and the Master of Magnetism Erik Lensherr (Michael Fassbender). Here’s the official synopsis:
X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, following the classic Marvel mythology, charts the epic beginning of the X-MEN saga. Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-MEN.
The movie, which opens on June 3, also stars Kevin Bacon, January Jones, Rose Byrne, Jason Flemyng, Nicholas Hoult, Lucas Till, Zoe Kravitz and Jennifer Lawrence.
