Big Oscar Wins For King’s Speech
Last night’s 83rd Academy Awards ceremony was nothing if not predictable, with The King’s Speech winning best picture and three other categories, including a best actor trophy for Colin Firth. Inception also won four awards, all in technical categories.
Natalie Portman, as expected, was honored for her turn as an unhinged ballerina in Black Swan, while Christian Bale and Melissa Leo took home awards for their supporting roles in The Fighter.
