Get A Sneak Peek At Pixar’s Short Toy Story: Hawaiian Vacation

Disney/Pixar has released a 30-second sneak peek and two high-resolution images for Hawaiian Vacation, the Toy Story animated short that premieres with Cars 2 on June 24.

The six-minute short picks up with Woody, Buzz, Jesse & Co. as they settle into their new lives with Bonnie. But when Ken and Barbie’s plans for a Hawaiian getaway fall through, Ken tries to recreate the vacation experience in Bonnie’s bedroom.

Director Gary Rydstrom talks with Entertainment Weekly about Hawaiian Vacation, revealing most of the (brief) story details in the process. So, if you don’t want to learn more than the general premise, you should probably avoid the link. Another Toy Story short will follow in November, attached to The Muppets.

For the record, Woody is wearing a Puerto Rican “Pava” hat, not a Hawaiian hat. I know, it’s a joke, just thought I’d point that out.

It’s nice to see that Pixar will continue doing Toy Story material, though it takes a little away from TS3 being the ‘last’ TS movie.
