Watch: Dylan Dog U.S. Trailer

Apple has premiered the U.S. trailer for Dylan Dog: Dead of Night, director Kevin Munroe’s adaptation of the popular Italian comic-book series created by Tiziano Sclavi. Here’s the official synopsis, courtesy of Platinum Studios:

DYLAN DOG: DEAD OF NIGHT is a new horror/comedy film based on one of the world’s most popular comics (60 million copies worldwide). Brandon Routh stars as Dylan Dog, world famous private investigator specializing in affairs of the undead. His PI business card reads “No Pulse? No Problem.” Armed with an edgy wit and carrying an arsenal of silver and wood-tipped bullets, Dylan must track down a dangerous artifact before a war ensues between his werewolf, vampire and zombie clients living undercover in the monster-infested backstreets of New Orleans.

The film, which also stars Anita Briem, Sam Huntington, Peter Stormare (Prison Break) and Taye Diggs, opens on April 29. Watch the trailer below, or in high definition at iTunes.

    Looks A LOT like Hellboy…

Just can’t really get behind Brandon Routh. Thought he was terrible in Superman. Thought he was better in Chuck as a villain.

But now as the main hero again? I don’t think he can headline a movie.

As a long time fan of Dylan Dog I’ll just say that I am not getting my hopes up. This doesn’t look promising…

Is that the guy who plays the werewolf in the American version of “Being Human”? Is he starting to make a career out of playing “guys freaking out because they’re now something undead”?
