Paramount Rolls Out Dates For Three "Transformers" Sequels
Doctor Who will return to BBC America on April 23 with the first part of a two-part opener written by showrunner Steven Moffat, Entertainment Weekly confirms.
In the season premiere, the Doctor (Matt Smith) and his companions Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) receive a secret summons that takes them from the Utah desert to the Oval Office in 1969. Mark Sheppard (Supernatural, Battlestar Galactica) guest stars in the episode, which marks the first time the sci-fi series has filmed on location in the United States. Alex Kingston also reprises her role as the enigmatic River Song.
The sixth season of Doctor Who begins Saturday, April 23, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on BBC America.
