Ronald Moore’s 17th Precinct Adds Smallville Star Kristin Kreuk

Ronald D. Moore’s supernatural crime drama 17th Precinct has added yet another sci-fi TV star to its rapidly growing cast: Kristin Kreuk, Smallville‘s Lana Lang.

TVLine reports she’ll guest star in the NBC pilot as Susan Longstreet, the wife of Jamie Bamber’s extremely focused crime-scene detective. Kreuk’s role could be a recurring one if the network were to pick up the pilot.

Set in Excelsior, a town where science takes a backseat to magic, the police procedural also stars Battlestar Galactica alumni James Callis and Tricia Helfer as a homicide detective and necromancer/coroner, respectively, veteran actress Stockard Channing a robbery detective, and Jack & Bobby star Matt Long as a rookie investigator.

Battlestar Galactica director Michael Rymer will helm the pilot , which is being shot in Vancouver.
