Joseph Gordon-Levitt May NOT Be Alberto Falcone After All

You’ve surely heard by now that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is confirmed for a role in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. You’ve also probably heard the follow-up news to that news, that Gordon-Levitt will be stepping into the role of Alberto Falcone (aka the Holiday Killer) in yet another Nolan nod to the tremendously popular Batman collaboration from Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale, The Long Halloween. The question now is … have you heard the follow-up to the follow-up?

AHA! Gotcha. As it turns out, Gordon-Levitt might NOT be playing the younger Falcone after all. That’s what Entertainment Weekly reports, via “a source close to the situation.” Until we get an official confirmation or denial from Nolan or Warner Bros., it’s all rumor anyway. In fact, maybe we should all just stop thinking about The Dark Knight Rises until it’s out and we can know for sure who is playing what character and where the plot lines up with the established fiction in the comics.

Nah, that’ll never happen. But it seems we can now start wondering again just which character the actor will be playing.

I was hoping for Hugo Strange but since this is to wrap-up Nolan’s
trilogy–it makes more since for Falcone to show up.

I wonder if maybe there’s going to be some flash-future scene at the end where we see JGL as Nightwing and Juno Temple as Carrie Kelly?

Ok that’s it, no longer going to pay attention to these Rumors until I get a PR release from WB or Nolan. Stupid “Sources”

Call me crazy but I kind enjoy the fake rumours. The guessing game is part of the fun.

    I’m leaning towards Deadshot now.
