Entertainment Tonight Unveils New Footage From Captain America

Entertainment Tonight‘s one-minute “first look” at Captain America: The First Avenger is pretty much what we’ve come to expect from these things: flashes of new footage marred by virtually nonstop narration by the ET correspondent. But perhaps it’s enough to hold fans until the full-length trailer debuts … which should be very soon.

Directed by Joe Johnston, Captain America: The First Avenger stars Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Hugo Weaving, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Stanley Tucci, Richard Armitage, Natalie Dormer, Dominic Cooper, Neal McDonough, Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel L. Jackson. It opens on July 22.

Captain America: The First Avenger will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving).

Audio’s off. Picture’s blurry. Cap’s still awesome as hell.

  • Lee

That is not the annoying Human Torch from the FF. Nice.

This first extended trailer does nothing to make me want to see the movie. But I probably will.

weakling Chris Evans is the funniest/scariest/strangest thing I’ve seen all day.

Your enemy is not what you think…..? Ultimates style alien/nazi team-up?

  • JMC

    OH YEAH!!!

Considering the rumors about a Kree and/or Skrull involvement in Avengers, that wouldn’t surprise me if they did that at all.

  • Jacob

I was thinking the same thing. It’ll probably look better by the time it comes out.

  • JoeO

I was worried about this from the get-go.. but it just keeps looking better and better!

  • Noyourbusiness

Hmm. I’m getting more of a warm and fuzzy feeling about this movie now. But I still think Thor will be better.
