REVIEW: Violent, Profane "Deadpool" Shouldn't Work, But Really F---ing Does
There are two reasons, and only two reasons, that I am incredibly excited to see American Pie‘s triumphant return in American Reunion: Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg. The guys who created Harold & Kumar.
They wrote Reunion and they’re directing it. If anyone can tap into what made the original movie so funny and how to properly repackage it for a new generation (and an older generation of the same audience), it’s them. Today brings us some new details via Australian website What’s Playing, which lays out its 10-point plan of things you should know about the coming sequel.
To properly grasp all of the details you should really just check out the source link. Here are some key points, though: The story is built around a 10-year high school reunion for our pie-fucker and his old high school chums. Jim (Jason Biggs) is now recognized by one and all as a YouTube sensation for his close encounter with Nadia. Stifler (Seann William Scott) is working in a dead end temp job with a jerk of a boss. He’s also no longer the ladies man he once was; guess all of those lessons he learned in American Wedding didn’t stick.
There’s more than that, too. Most importantly though, it seems like all of the former cast members are returning for Reunion, including Stifler’s mom (Jennifer Coolidge). I’m so there.
