Watch The Hangover Part II Trailer

Apple has premiered the first full-length trailer to The Hangover Part II, the sequel to Todd Phillips’ hit 2009 comedy about four friends — Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha — who travel to Las Vegas for a bachelor party, only to wake up the next morning unable to remember a thing or locate the groom.

This time around, the action, and the wolfpack, moves to Thailand for Stu’s wedding, and — well, I’ll let you read the official synopsis:

“The Hangover Part II” is director Todd Phillips’ follow-up to 2009’s smash hit “The Hangover,” which became the highest-grossing R-rated comedy of all-time and also won the Golden Globe for Best Film – Comedy or Musical. Reprising their roles from “The Hangover,” Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, and Justin Bartha star in the film. Jeffrey Tambor, Ken Jeong and Mike Tyson also rejoin the cast. In “The Hangover Part II,” Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and Doug (Justin Bartha) travel to exotic Thailand for Stu’s wedding. After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. However, things don’t always go as planned. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can’t even be imagined.

The Legendary Pictures/Warner Bros. film opens on May 26. Check out the trailer below, or visit Apple’s site to watch it in HD.

  • Philip

Why is Doug with them when they start drinking, then he’s back at the hotel when they wake up in the city looking for Stu’s future brother-in-law?

  • Sam

Because it’s a trailer with parts of the movie edited disorderly like in every trailers.

Anyway, I’m waiting for the movie.

  • Jacob

I was hoping Doug was going to be part of the festivities this time. T_T

  • Philip

Doug is at the Bachelor party, but he just somehow is safely back at the hotel while the rest of them are all messed up in the city. Doug isn’t in any of the scenes after the guys wake up, except when he calls them.

From a story stand point it doesn’t make sense why he isn’t with them.

  • Philip

I was too. Without him it may seem to similar to the first film.

  • Jacob

Maybe because the scene explaining that isn’t in the trailer. Maybe he had a stomach ache and left early, before the shenanigans ensued.

  • Jacob

It’s already going to be similar (the basic premise dictates that), I just want more Justin Bartha. :D

  • Shift

Sigh… It was a good movie. Why must they milk it? Its the exact same premise, only with minor variations of the previous jokes.
