New Thor Clip Offers Shadowy Peek At Hawkeye In Action

If anyone still required confirmation that Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye appears in Thor, Marvel provides it with this second clip from the movie that provides a shadowy glimpse of the archer in action. It’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it look, but a look nonetheless.

Directed by Kenneth Branagh, Thor stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Colm Feore, Stellan Skarsgård, Kat Dennings Joshua Dallas, Tadanobu Asano, Ray Stevenson, Idris Elba, Rene Russo, Clark Gregg and Samuel L. Jackson.

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, Thor, which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

The film opens on May 6.

    Is it down already?

  • Ray

Who is he fighting that would give him such a hard time? This clip did nothing to add to my excitement and kind of disappoints.

Odin has taken his powers, remember? He’s still tough, but not *Asgardian* tough. That’s why he needs to get the Hammer. There’s no Don Blake aspect in this movie…although there might be a reference.

  • Kindella2

At that point he has been cast down by Odin and thus is mortal.

  • Lexyy1212

hawkeye is supposed to be in avengers so it doesnt suprise if he is in here

  • Jacob

    It’s not a leak…

  • Deanjsimons

i am enjoying how many people aren’t paying attention and keep complaining about him getting his arse kicked so easily.

Nothing adds to your excitement because you, sir, are stupid. Thor was cast out. Meaning no powers. If you would whine about something, just make sure that you are not sounding dumb.

  • Scud

Granted he was being dumb but in cause you didn’t notice two people already told him what was really going on and they managed not to be total d*cks about it. Amazing I know.

  • Jacob

It doesn’t surprise me because they confirmed it a while ago. ^_^

  • Marvel Movie Girl

Hang on – surely this ‘other guy’ is Luke Cage? Big, Tough enough to give Thor pause for thought but ultimately not in his league!!!

  • Shaun

Why are people so clueless? In this clip, Thor is no more powerful than a normal human. He has lost his powers. His opponent does not need to be superhuman to give him a hard time.

  • Bahloo2000

I though it might be Cage too — I think people have gotten way too sophisticated. The movie looks great — and if they don’t go too deeply into Dr Blake’s alter ego — who cares? We have only 2 hours — let’s have some fun…..

thats it? hey look! a random guy with a bow in a ski lift thingy!

When u actually see tha full scene agent coulson refers to him as “barton” as in clint barton hawkeye’s government name, and he has a brief dialog it also clearly shows Jeremy Renner
