Strong Talks Merging "Super-Cute" with "Super-Psycho" for "Arkham Knight's" Harley Quinn

Last week, Warner Bros. premiered the first episode in Kevin Tancharoen’s Mortal Kombat: Legacy web series. It was a good introduction to his grittier take on the Mortal Kombat universe. Perhaps not quite as gritty as his original Mortal Kombat: Rebirth pitch reel, but close enough. Plus, Jeri Ryan and Michael Jai White are in it, as Sonya Blade and Jax, respectively. Nothing wrong with that.
The second episode in the series arrived today, picking up immediately where the last one ended. This one features a lot hand-to-hand combat than the last one did, which is a good thing for a web series based on a fighting game. The focus once again is on Jax and Kano, who proceed to beat the crap out of each other for most of the episode.
The only real complaint is the episode’s length, which is right around half of what the debut was. I can’t speak for everyone, but I was hoping for something a little more substantive when this series was first announced, since that’s what those campy older movies were missing (among other things).
