New Images From Green Lantern

Warner Bros. has released new stills of Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) and Tomar-Re (voiced by Geoffrey Rush) in the Martin Campbell-directed Green Lantern.

The film, which opens in 3D and 2D on June 17, also stars Blake Lively, Mark Strong, Angela Bassett, Temuera Morrison, Jay O. Sanders, Taika Waititi and Jon Tenney.

In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.

Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax…he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

I’m getting a vibe that Green Lantern’s going to suck.

Hm… the perfect killing machine. Bullets made of green energy, which means that they vanish once the wielder stops thinking about them or once the power runs out on the ring.

any of you mindless nerds that say this CGI looks real are just children under 24 who have lived an entire generation in front of an Xbox and dont know any better.

    THis looks terribly fake.
    and just terrible

  • Aggamendon

Any of you mindless people that don’t realize the CGI is a representation of a energy construction willed into existence and aren’t _suppose_ to look real a are just children over 30 who have lived an entire generation in and should know better then to whine like babies.

This looks like it has potential
and I’m will to wait until I’ve seen it to judge it.

Its not that bad , i think that they have done ok , as long as the acting and dialogie is decent it will be ok. I am 39 so have experienced life before Computers let alone X-Box.

He’s like: “Yeah. I got a ridiculously huge, Looney Tunes sized machine gun. So what. No big deal.”

Ryan Reynolds was probably told that it was going to be a harpoon gun, then the effects people pulled a switch on him in post-production.

Agreed. The only thing I could think is that its a training shot

The fact that he’s not wearing his mask seems to support this notion.

I was thinking the same thing but after that new four minute trailer I’m thinking its gonna be awesome.
