Watch The Second Trailer For Transformers: Dark Of The Moon

As promised, Paramount Pictures has released the second trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the third and final installment of the Michael Bay-directed action series. The studio also released a new quasi-synopsis that actually tells you less about the movie than the previous description:

Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. When a mysterious event from Earth’s past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us.

See? Starring Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Malkovich and John Turturro, the movie centers on a race between the Autobots and Decepticons to find a Cybertronian on the moon.

Check out the new trailer below, or in HD at Apple. Transformers: Dark of the Moon opens in 3D on July 1.

The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009′s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime Transformers character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.

It looks good, but I’m still not going to see it. I already got burned twice by this franchise, and I’m not going to pay money to have it happen again. I’ll wait until it’s on TV.

Also… why do all of Sam’s love interests look like they should be working a pole in Vegas? Can’t we get a woman who we BELIEVE would date someone like Shia?

This looks incredible. Dang it, Michael Bay! Stop screwing with me!

This film seems reminiscent to the “Megatron’s Master Plan” arc from Season 2 of the original series.

I’m assuming the U.S. government do what they do best… Screw with people. But this time they did it to the Autobots. Prime decide “Eff This. We’re going where we’re appreciated”. The Autobots leave to parts unknown in space. During this time Megatron decide this will be the perfect opportunity pull out EVERY SINGLE Decepticons he can muster in the galaxy and have an After Autobot Party in Chi-Town with humans as the party favors and just go all out. People are running hiding and Sam all of the sudden has an epiphany about life and becoming a man but everything is just about to crash down when all of the sudden the Autobots come back just in the nick of time because Optimus is like “You know what… Where the hell are we going? There’s no place for us to go… Let’s go back”. They kick exhaust pipes, Sam Marries Carly and give birth to Daniel.

    The End…

Hopefully he learned his lesson from the last film and this one will be much better.

This one looks much better, and I actually liked TF2.

Because he’s not Shia. He’s Sam. A character. Who loves sluts. Don’t complain, just enjoy the eye candy.

That’s not supported at all by the trailer…

The second movie had ideas taken from an episode called “Changing gears” from season 2 as well. Megatron developed a machine that stole solar power from the sun. The machine was located in Africa.

I only remember because I saw a rerun the other day on TV.

You might want to look at it again and again. Everything I wrote is all in the trailer. Or at least 80% of it. (The whole thing about daniel was a joke). But I’m willing to bet that’s what’s going on.

Boy, I still hate these robot designs. The Decepticons are just nameless grey metal cannon fodder. This will be a renter.
