New 3D Trailer Premieres For Transformers: Dark of The Moon

Paramount Pictures throws the promotional machine into high gear for Transformers: Dark of the Moon with this new 3D trailer for the third and final installment of Michael Bay’s action franchise.

Yes, the trailer is in 3D, but you apparently have to pick up a special viewing device — and possibly an app? — to get the full benefit? I don’t know, this new-fangled technology confuses me. But, hey, it still looks good in 2D.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which we now know opens on June 29, stars stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, John Turturro, Frances McDormand, Peter Cullen and Tyrese Gibson.

The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009′s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime Transformers character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.

Its amazing how in every film, only Optimus Prime and Bumblebee look remotely individualistic.  You can always tell which are them. A pity that never seems to apply for of the other robots.

Hmm… well on the plus side, they got rid of the horribly over-rated Megan Fox. She made watching the other two “Transformer” movies somewhat unpleasant for me and my husband. More so my husband, i just have a general dislike of her, he absolutely can’t stand her lack of talent. I have to say though, the new “love interest” in the move has 3 scenes in this trailer. One she looks like she’s being comforted by Sam, the next she’s just crying and in the third she falls off something only to be grabbed and rescued by Sam. She looks more useless than Megan Fox’s character. Come on guys, are men the only people who have it in them to be brave and fight the Decepticons? It looks like they just put her in there for “eye candy,” and if her vacant look in all three scenes says anything… she’s just as dumb as Megan Fox. Sad face :(  Hopefully she doesn’t have a large part or if she does I hope she turns out to be a better actress then Megan Fox. Please, PLEASE get it closer to right this time Micheal Bay. We love the “Transformers” and hate the disservice they’ve been done in the first two movies, especially the second one. We would hate to see the “Transformers” movie franchise go out with a whimper and a whine.

Both of them actually were there to be pure eye-candy, unfortunately.

Am I the only one hoping they don’t reboot after Bay leaves? It looks like this movie will leave the world in a very interesting place when it’s over.

Well Mr. Bay you got to hand it to him he knows how to make a trailer. At some point people will likely collect all of Optimus’s lines and craft a religion. The Church of Optimism.

    hasnt that been done before
