Lil’ Xavier And Lil’ Mystique Meet In New X-Men: First Class Clip

Twentieth Century Fox has debuted a fourth clip for director Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class, this one featuring the first meeting of a young Charles Xavier (Laurence Belcher) and a young Raven Darkholme (Morgan Lily) in the kitchen of the future professor.

Opening on June 3, X-Men: First Class stars James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lensherr, Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkholme, January Jones as Emma Frost, Lucas Till as Alex Summers/Havok, Caleb Landry Jones as Sean Cassidy/Banshee, Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw, Edi Gathegi as Darwin, Oliver Platt as the Man in Black, Jason Flemyng as Azazel, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggart and Zoe Kravitz as Angel Salvadore.

X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

Aww, that was so cute. I hope that when they grow up she doesn’t try to kill him by infecting Cerebro with some sort of concoction.

    Oopps, too late.

Doesn’t this mean that Mystique is old enough to be Nightcrawler’s grandmother?

  • Deanjsimons

    that was lame

In the comics she was old enought to be his great grandmother at least. She was a fully grown woman at the turn of the twentieth century.

  • Michael Sacal

Wow. I did not know that.

  • Jacob

Holy crap there are two of you! AAHH

Her power allows her to alter her physical being. It’s basically a healing power as well (plus, she is perpetually a MILF).

  • Michael Sacal

Hahaha. I have my personal twitter account and one for Heroic Tendencies Studios (pic of me versus dragon). Depending on which one I’m signed in at the time, that’s the one that appears here.

I figured it was that. Well.. that or an evil twin. … Or an alternate universe. Or cloning. Impersonator. Identical son from the future. Yep. One of those. (definitely never thought “identity theft” though…)

  • Michael Sacal

All of those would be valid in anything to do with the X-Men.

  • Jacob

With X-Men, it’s more “Evil twin-version of son from an alternate universe’s future taking on another heroes identity that is able to impersonate you perfectly despite having never met because alternate you was evil and cloned. And he’s got a tail.”
