Camelot’s Jamie Campbell Bower Joins The Mortal Instruments

Jamie Campbell Bower in "Camelot"

Camelot star Jamie Campbell Bower has landed a coveted lead role opposite Lily Collins Screen Gems’ urban-fantasy adaptation The Mortal Instruments, Deadline reports.

Directed by Scott Charles Stewart (Priest, Legion), the movie is based on Cassandra Clare’s bestselling young-adult fantasy series, which centers on Clary Fray (Collins), a teenager who witnesses what she believes to be a murder, only to be swept into a world of tattooed demon-hunting Shadowhunters, werewolves and fairies. Bower will play the sarcastic and witty Shadowhunter Jace Wayland.

The 22-year-old Bower, who plays a young King Arthur in Starz’s new drama Camelot, also appeared in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
