Phillips inspiring the troops, Marvel is finally giving the Red Skull is due in the new television spot for Captain America: The First Avenger. This time around, Cap’s arch-nemesis actually speaks!
“What makes you so special?” Hugo Weaving growls, setting up Chris Evans for a perfect response. But in addition to those five words, the 30-second ad also provides glimpses of some new action sequences.
Directed by Joe Johnston, Captain America: The First Avenger also stars Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Toby Jones, Stanley Tucci, Richard Armitage, Natalie Dormer, Dominic Cooper, Neal McDonough and Samuel L. Jackson. It opens on July 22.
Captain America: The First Avenger will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving).
