New Trailer, Images For Neverland

Sky Movies has released a trailer and 14 stills for Neverland, the prequel to J.M. Barrie classic Peter Pan set to air in the United States in December on Syfy.

The four-hour television movie follows an orphaned Peter (The Golden Compass‘ Charlie Rowe) who, along with his pickpocket young friends, have been rounded up by their mentor Jimmy Hook (The Amazing Spider-Man‘s Rhys Ifans) to steal a magical orb that transports them to another world — Neverland, a mysterious realm filled with white jungles and imposing cities formed out of trees created by Dr. Fludd (Charles Dance) and inhabited by a colony of tree spirits led by Tinker Bell (voiced by Keira Knightley).

The cast also includes Anna Friel (Pushing Daisies) as Captain Elizabeth Bonny, Bob Hoskins as Smee (the role he played in Hook) and Raoul Trujillo (Tin Man, True Blood) as the Kaw tribe holy man.

Looks cool. I liked Tin Man and Alice (one more than the other) and have high hopes for this.

While Tin Man and Alice had their good points, they were overshadowed by a lot of “What The HELL” moments. This production looks like there’s some real money spent on it, so there’s a chance it won’t be another “SyFy Screws up a Classic Story” film. And it’s nice to see Bob Hoskins again.
