Promo Image Unveils Likely Logo For The Amazing Spider-Man

The Licensing International Expo that produced the first look at the assembled Avengers also offers a glimpse of what will likely be the logo for Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man. The font is similar to the one used for the Sam Raimi trilogy, suggesting that the branding, if little else, will carry over into director Marc Webb’s reboot.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Irrfan Khan, Denis Leary, Chris Zylka, Campbell Scott, C. Thomas Howell, Julianne Nicholson and Annie Parisse. The film opens on July 3, 2012.

Can that logo be any more bland and post modern too?  Why not use a modern update like an embossed stylized version of the classic iconic Amazing Spiderman logo?

…Why not use the classic logo? They still use it on the book because it still works. Why does Superman get this and not Spider-Man?
