First Look At Nori, Ori And Dori From Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit

New Line Cinema and MGM have released the first image of the Dwarf brothers Nori (Jed Brophy), Ori (Adam Brown) and Dori (Mark Hadlow) from Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

These three brothers, all sons of the same mother, could not be more different from each other. Dori, the oldest, spends much of his time watching out for Ori, the youngest; making sure he’s not caught a chill or got himself killed by Wargs or Goblins. Nobody quite knows what Nori gets up to most of the time, except that it’s guaranteed to be dodgy and quite probably, illegal. Dori, Nori and Ori are intensely loyal to each other – and whilst they are perfectly happy fighting amongst themselves, woe-betide anyone who means harm to one of these brothers.

The two-movie adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s beloved fantasy novel features an ensemble cast led by Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins and Ian McKellen as Gandalf the Grey. It also stars Richard Armitage, John Callen, Stephen Fry, Ryan Gage, Peter Hambleton, Stephen Hunter, William Kircher, Sylvester McCoy, Bret McKenzie, Graham McTavish, Mike Mizrahi, James Nesbitt, Dean O’Gorman, Lee Pace, Mikael Persbrandt, Conan Stevens, Ken Stott, Jeffrey Thomas, Aidan Turner, Luke Evans, Benedict Cumberbatch, Evangeline Lilly, Barry Humphries, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Ian Holm, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, Elijah Wood and Andy Serkis.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens on Dec. 14, 2012, and The Hobbit: There and Back Again on Dec. 13, 2013.

    Oh, dear.

Is it just me or how the hell did Dwarves become a fantasy staple?! Are they in any way credible warriors. NO. So what hell happened? How did it happen?

J.R.R. Tolkein decided to make them warriors in the Hobbit for the most part before fantasy was really fleshed out over the years.  Though in the book they do more running than fighting at times, so who knows LOL.

I do not think they look like what I expected but that is not to say I am disappointed, no in fact I am thrilled to see these pictures surface and I am happy so far with what it is looking like.
